5 stars My only complaint about this book is that it is WAAAY too short. It’s not complete. I feel certain there is more to the story of Charon and Phaedre, but Charon completes his quest and Phaedre is on her journey and that’s all there is to it. The writing is evocative, with vivid descriptions of historical and mythical places and characters, such as Charon the Ferryman over the Styx. It’s easy to get pulled into the story and I was sad that it ended so quickly. I enjoy Jade Kerrion’s writing so if I have the opportunity to read more in this series, I will be certain to do so.
